Redd Wood

Mare here: For dinner we walked up Washington Street from our hotel to Redd Wood for dinner. We had reservations which was good since the wait for an outside table was 1-1/2 hours. We ordered pre dinner drinks: TJ had a scotch & water, I had an Italian greyhound, and Deb had her iced tea. We decided to keep it simple and ordered the Cobb Salad and a wood-burning oven baked sausage pizza for all three of us. The salad arrived too soon after we were served our pre-dinner drinks and the pizza showed up about a minute after our salad was served. We had mentioned to the waiter we wanted to keep the wine menu for dinner, but he never came back to ask for our order, and the food came so quickly there wasn't time anyway. We felt rushed through dinner and this was probably my least favorite restaurant, although the pizza was very good.

The night was young and we were still in a festive mood so we walked back over to Lucy's for an after dinner drink . (We also wanted to visit those fancy restrooms again!) TJ had her favorite summer cocktail, Tanqueray and tonic; Deb and I each decided to try the Old Fashioned. We sat outside by the beautiful pools in their courtyard and enjoyed talking and just relaxing after our winey day.
