Continued our venture up the coast to Cairns, after having brekkie down the road at Seaview Cafe, Cardwell. Delayed our arrival date for accommodation booked at Port Douglas after realising we were behind travelling days.

Whilst travelling to Cairns detoured via Mission Beach - lovely spots - I think a must for next time travelling up the Coast - this is where the endangered Cassowary birds are - didn't sight any but plenty of signage .

Arrived at Big 4 Coconut Cairns - setup as a team and headed down to Water Fun Park in the complex - only there 5 mins when Jayde was hit by a dump of water, causing to hit her head on the side and splitting her chin open - yes off to the 24 Medical Centre where she received two stitches and five days of not placing her head into water either in the sea or pools due to possible infection - yep didn't want stitches and upon the needle being placed into her cut to numb in preparation for stitches Bill said everyone in the waiting room raised their shoulders to the top of their heads and cringed with Jayde's scream (she was so very brave) - I don't think the Dr was too happy with her after that (maybe loss of business).

Had a quiet evening.
