Mount Surprise, Queensland, Australia
Had lunch at Windy Hill, where we viewed over 20 wind generators (Wind Farm), and then took a detour into have a look at Millstream Falls, before surprising Jayde to look through the Crystal Caves at Atherton, taking photos with the Empress Crystal, was great going through and looking at crystal from all over the world. Jayde got to crack an agate with a lovely greyish crystal inside.
Arrived and checked into Bedrock Village (Mt Surprise) for two nights, what lovely people, also booked for a half day tour the next morning 8
.30am to visit the Undara Lava Caves. After tea we went to sit around the campfire where they were having a sing-a-long. Meet Jan and Greg (who had been visiting Bedrock for approximately 11 years-now working there from last week on) and Joe (the owner), also another couple who had sold their van and asked if they could volunteer for bed and food at Bedrock to get away from the cold weather.
