Day 14 - Cobbold Gorge, Queensland

Forsayth, Queensland, Australia
Woke up after a cold evening where we decided to have a relaxing morning prior to going on our booked tour of Cobbold Gorge walk and cruise at 1.30pm today. We hired some kayaks and had a paddle, Jayde and William shared I took the safe option and had one all by myself, especially after scaring the hebbie geebies out of William in the Undara tubes where I touched him on the head ever so softly and he thought one of the bats had touched him and he took such a head dive – I think payback still to come. We paddled around between water lillies together for approximately an hour then took a dip in the pool 'yep' cold but invigorating (a little reminder of what we may be missing at Gropers Sunday swimming in Newey).

We meet our Savannah Guide, Jamie along with a couple Steve and Cathy from Holmesville near home, Grant and Jen from Gold Coast heading to Cairns to watch their son Julian in the Ironman, and others . Had a lovely walk and viewed the Gorge from above, before boarding our electric (very quiet) boats along the Gorge, so spectacular. Jayde hopped up in front with Jamie, as his co-driver on way back. Caught up having a drink at bar with Grant and Jen, when back at camp whilst Jayde ventured into the cold pool again.
