DAY 89 – Eucla, Nullarbor - WA

Eucla, Western Australia, Australia
Wow, what a windy morning and cold – I had only just got up around 2.45am to go for a wee walk and only just dozed back off to sleep when you could hear this gigantic whirling sound of wind and you just held your breath and then whoosh for about 1hour and then lulled and came back again with rain. People were waking and coming out of their vans saying they were shaking. We packed up quickly before more rain or strong winds.

Colin and William decided to have another go at Caiguna Nullarbor Golf Link, once we packed up - weather not as nice as yesterday afternoon . Once we got our stamp on our card we headed to the next par Cocklebiddy Roadhouse, still very cold and windy – so Janet joined me wimping out joining this hole by sitting in the car chatting, while Jayde braved the cold and caddyed for her Dad.

Okay that hole completed and stamped off to the next hole, Madura Roadhouse only small 125Km Par 3 – lovely view overlooking Roe Plain as coming into Mandurah Pass.

We all walked the course this time as quite hard sometimes to see where ball went and then finding in the bushes. Hans and Lorraine had caught up with us again as we were heading off to next tee off at Mundrabilla Roadhouse, with weather still quite chilly, Janet and Colin invited us to join them in the caravan for lunch. After lunch boys went to have a hit, when Hans and Lorraine had joined them and agreed was good for all the guys to play together. Thus the Golf Link convey started. Now onto Eucla Golf Course where we turned left and drove 10mins looked like a firing range. Once all had a tee off and also Jayde having a go this time we ventured down the course caddying for our boys. William and I reconsidered continuing another 12kms to WA/SA Border Village after looking at the caravan site and overlooking the ocean. Another night of drizzling cold rain.
