Today touring with Salmon Berry Tours "Turnagain Turnaround Tour" where we visited Chugach Mountains, Beluga Point - Beluga Whales in the silt. Arm and Kenai Mountains, stopping at Bird Point.
Stopping at Bakeshop for Chicken Tortilla Soup (Debs), William Bean soup. Sat with Valerie and Terry from Pittsburgh. On towards Aleyska Tramway Jump (The Alyeska Resort Aerial Tramway is a seven-minute ride to a viewing deck with breathtaking panoramic views of mountains, hanging glaciers, streams, spruce, and an array of wildlife.), climbing Mt Aleyska William made it to the top, I nearly made it but little time poor only had 3/4 hour an additional half hour would have been good as needed to get on 3.00pm tram back down. Some info provided by tour director 1) Average snow of 650 inches every year at resort. 2) Girdwood saving on fixing signage from TACOS to COAST Pizza.
We were lucky to again visit Alaska Conservation Centre, previously with our Trafalgar tour -this time we saw black and brown bears roaming around, wolves howling and porcupine Twix who was running a muck. Thoroughly enjoyed again
