Juneau, Alaska, United States
Checked out at 11am, walking across from hotel to Convention Centre to check our bags in for our next adventure with 'Uncruise', crossing paths with travellers just arriving back off, commenting how wonderful the cruise was and 'you will not starve', our little ship looked quaint and exciting, we were required to meet back at Convention late afternoon. Walked around different area of Juneau having a coffee at 'Sacred Ground' before heading down to wharf viewing new cruise liners arriving into port. Had lunch at 'The Hangar on the Wharf Restaurant' and watching seaplanes taking off and landing taking people on sightseeing tours before heading back to the convention centre to meet our 'Uncruise Adventure' travelling companions for the next 14 days, boat takes 80 passengers but our cruise only had 41 and 26 staff (wow this is going to be an adventure). After induction at the Convention Centre they guided across the road to board 'S.S. Legacy', staff greeted, took our photo and showed us to our room. Our room 105 lower deck but had double bed and porthole window, no need to close curtains, open all day & night, others on higher decks have passengers walking past their rooms and able to see in, adding to this we were able to walk straight into to the dining area and one floor up was the lounge. Once settled we were to meet at 6pm to meet Captain and Crew and go over life saving brief and drills and advised what activities were planned for tomorrow and for the coming weeks (5.30am Continental Breakfast available, 8.00am Breakfast, MT, 12noon Lunch, Afternoon tea biscuits available, 5.30pm Cocktails and Appetisers, 6.30pm Dinner) - Well 6.00pm headed off to the dining room for our first Dinner, the start of some amazing meals.
