Tracy Arm, Alaska, United States
Spent the night anchored in Endicott Arm. Whilst having our breakfast SS Legacy cruised towards Tracy Arm Fjord which extends over 30 miles alongside the wilderness of Tongass National Forest. Sailing through this deep and narrow passage delivers some of the most breathtaking scenery you’ll find in Alaska.
Slowly meandering our way through Tracy Arm Fjord viewing on either side of the ship were stunning waterfalls and sharp cliff faces, watching out for mountain goats on the rocky slopes and varieties of birds eg eagles etc
Captain Jared was able to nudge this little beauty of our ship with the bow just about kissing a spectacular waterfall, the thunderous sound of water made very hard to talk to each other standing at the bow to get our photo.
Pulling away we continued to cruise down fjord passing seals either resting or playing on small icebergs, otters coasting past us on weed, some with little pups on tummies.
Cruising our way into South Sawyer Glacier where we seen some icebergs we thought looked like eg a plane or swan. Captain Jared was again able to steer SS Legacy close to South Sawyer Glacier larger icebergs where able to be seen, Captain cut the engines  and generators off and take in the sights uninterrupted while you here the ice crackle and pop and wait for the large sound of ice calving some from a size of a small car from glacier down into water.
Cruising out from South Sawyer Glacier and continue towards the Inside Passage, we were lucky to see Orcas, and being a smaller ship Captain was able to turn around and follow the Orcas for better viewing, where the large cruise ships unable to turn around and far to way above water to see cute otters passing us by. Apparently the ice in Tracy Arm interferes with the sonar of whales, so it is the perfect place for hundreds of harbor seals to have their pups in the summer months.
