Princess Royal Channel, British Columbia, Canada
For the next Two Days unable to stop boat as in Canadian Waters.
Deb attended stretch and exercise class this morning. We had a tasty 10am brunch today, pasta salad, bacon and potatoe salad and BBQ chicken, with fruit and a glass or two of Prosecco while enjoying the beautiful clear sunshine and scenery while cruising along, watching the Humpback Whales gliding along the shoreline.
Weather changed and became quite foggy hard to see where we were travelling - Lucky we have Captain Jarrod.
Around 12noon cruised along Princess Royal Island the largest island on the North Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is located amongst the isolated inlets and island ease of Hecate Strait on the British Columbia Coast. Cruised for several hours along narrow channel
Cruised past Butedale which is a ghost town on Princess Royal Island, with an old salmon cannery established by Western Packers which was purchased and operated by the Canadian Fishing Company until it ceased operating in the 1950s. At is peak the summertime population of Butedale can be over 400 people with a fantastic waterfall along side the Cannery - Beth suggested a nice area for next holiday hehe!
We settled in being shown how to make friendship bracelets to pass some of the day then Over the radio came voice indicating seeking some spouts puffin up so we all headed out quickly - not real clear as didn't come up and were very close to shore line - continued cruising majestically down Inside Passage so surreal and calming not a sound off the deck - in absolute bliss.
After tea watch part 2 on Kaylan Dog Sledding and stayed on to have an enjoyable chat with red wine - Shirax Barossa Valley with Mark and Jan from England, Marilyn from England and Pat from America
