Waking at 5.00am to finish packing after zipping up bags we head up to the deck taking in views whilst cruising into Seattle via the "Hiram M Chittenden Locks" commonly know as Ballard Locks accommodate the approximate 6.1metres difference in water level between Lake Washington and the Puget Sound. The Lake Washington Ship Canal runs through the city of Seattle, connects the fresh water body of Lake Washington with the salt water inland seat of Puget Sound. Once through the Lock , which was very interesting to see how the Lock operates, we head down for our last meal (brekkie) while the SS Legacy prepares to dock. We were requested to disembark by 8.30am. Disembarking we were met with the crew lined up for us to say thank you once again and say our last goodbyes and board the bus to our designated hotels
This was two weeks on an amazing journey with nothing to fault, food, expeditions, company, crew (absolutely way beyond fantastic).
Bus dropped majority of us off at Crowne Plaza either to wait be taken to their other hotels or to the airport. We were able to walk to our hotel Westin Seattle approximately 5 blocks down the road. Brad and Steph decided to take a walk with us. Arrived at Westin and bid our second farewell to Brad and Steph. Were unable to checkin, decided to get on to "Stubhub" to print our tickets for tomorrows football game. Had a little trouble finally through to arrange how we could print tickets at hotel. Concierge recommended a lovely restaurant "Blue Curo" two blocks away. Lovely meal and service.
