Due to lack of students and having everything done at school, I was able to leave for my trip a day early . I was on the road at 9:43 a.m. My mileage was 31734 and the weather was the typical June Gloom at 68F. Magge vomited twice even before I rolled out of the driveway.

12:59 p.m.

Rest stop

Mileage is 31967 with the temperature at a warm 86F. I took Magge out of her carrier. She immediately headed for her usual spot underneath the passenger seat. I won't be seeing her again until we stop for the night.

Had to come to a quick stop just east of Flagstaff, AZ due to an accident . A construction truck was towing machinery. One of the wheels of the machinery was in the middle of the 2-lane road behind the truck. The battery of the truck was in front of the truck also in the middle of the road. A good portion of the metal guardrail was caved in and many of the wood posts were scattered along the left side of the road. The truck had not hit another car, but the front end of the truck was compact and its right front wheel was bent sideways. 2 men were walking around the truck while another was pushing the battery out of the road.
