Bristol, England

Boy it is amazing what you can view on UK TV!!! After going to bed last night, I decided to flip through the channels to see if I can find a good movie to watch or something interesting . And man did I find something interesting! They had a show on about 11:30 p.m. called “Sexecetera.” Apparently its like a news report, but of places dealing with sexual activities. The first part that I caught was about some couples retreat in the some tropical area, where clothing is optional and that you are free to have intercourse pretty much anywhere you like at anytime you like. The program showed people doing it on couches in the lounge area of the hotel, on the beach, groups in hot tubs, and around the pool. I’m talking about full frontals of both men and women! And this was all on a regular TV channel! The next segment was actually in Long Beach, CA! There is a place there that offers private workouts for women by using the strip pole. And of course, clothing is optional during the workouts. This openness about nudity is also prevalent in the newspaper too. The other day, one of the newspapers in Ireland had a full frontal photo of some woman caught in a mistress/government official scandal (Needless to say, most of the men on the bus had the paper that morning!) I got up at 6:15 a .m. and went down to breakfast about 6:45. Quiet night for the most part, although I did hear ambulance sirens twice in the night. The breakfast was once again the usual fare, but they had mackerel too this time. I was near the hot food section, and saw a bunch of eggs sitting on a bowl of ice. Finally, I thought, hard boiled eggs that are actually cool so the shells can come off easily. I grabbed one, and sat down to eat. The scrambled eggs were bitter tasting this time, so I thought, well at least I have a hard boiled egg. I hit the egg on my plate with my knife to crack the shell and out squirted raw eggs!!! That was a bit of a surprise! When I looked over to where I had a gotten he eggs, there stood a cook (missing earlier) taking an egg from the bowl of ice and cracking it into a skillet on a hotplate! Apparently, she was still setting up her ‘eggs made to order’ section of the buffet when I stopped by. Oh, well, I set the plate to the side, and went and made myself another plate sans scrambled eggs and raw egg. I also finally tried the tea that is served at breakfast every morning. It is served hot like coffee. I have decided after 1 sip, that tea is not for me! Ick! Since I had gotten down to breakfast so early, I found a corner near the stairs to work on the photos from yesterday and to do some blogging. The scenery outside is of bus stops and traffic and people heading off to work. We don’t leave until 8:30 p.m. It is a shame that we didn’t have any time to visit this city of 500,000 people. I really would have liked to visit the Bristol Blue Glass Company, which has been around for almost 400 years here in Bristol.
