Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Had breakfast and then decided to try and find a hike that went along the Soci river.  Walked along the steep road heading up toward Lom and Drobocnik.  It was a steady uphill climb but quite beautiful.  We stopped for a modern exhibit detailing where they had found some Ice Age graves that were found in urns when they were settling this area.  Very interesting.  The rock  geology along the hillside was also very interesting and lots of varied colors.
There were some interesting houses along the hillside as well, and some looked like they had been there for quite some time.  Never did make it up high enough to  find the Soci river, and decided it was time to head back because we needed to clean up and be ready to go to lunch with Dusan and Maida.  Dusan picked us up and we headed back up the road we had just walked up but he turned off down a side road to his property.  From what we could understand, this land had been his parents and he was restoring one of the buildings and building another.
His house was nice and we had a very nice meal of pork roast and gravy, mashed potatoes, salad, zucchini all from the garden.  And of course, had to try a friend of his wine and then dessert and coffee!  Met their other son, Darje who spoke fairly good English and so we had an interesting conversation during the meal.
Came back to the room and decided to kayak one last time on the Indjri river.  This time we kayaked all the way to where we could see the train trestle that our train will be passing over.  It is a beautiful trestle and the setting is very picturesque.  The river picks up speed here and so could not make it all the way under the trestle.
