Train Station Museum, Hike on opposite side river

Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia
The train station for Most na Soci is a bit out of town.  Our place is the bus stop for the village of Most Na Soci and we have observed the buses as they stop right in front.   We studied the schedule based on what we saw and decided to try our hand at riding the bus to the train station since the road between the town and the train station was not at all pedestrian friendly.
Managed it just fine and then checked out the train station and checked with the station master to make sure we were scheduling ourselves for the right train for our onward journey into Italy.
There is a train museum in part of the station with pictures and explanations of what it took to build this railway.  Pretty amazing. Had old pictures and drawings of the planning of the how the bridges, viaducts and tunnels were going to be placed.
Went and checked out the bar 17 at the train station.  This is another one of Dusan’s enterprises.  While we were enjoying a cup of coffee, the train that carries cars pulled into the station.   You drive your car onto a flatbed train car and actually ride in your car as the train moves from place to place!
Walked along the Indrija river on a gravel road that led back to town.  Very few cars and it was nice and shady and very peaceful.  Back to room to make lunch and plan our afternoon.
Decided to take the bus to Tolmin which is the closest town where bicycles can be rented.  While we have been here have seen many groups of people touring by bike through the country.  Walked around a bit and checked things out and Robert found himself a new hat to replace the one he had lost.
Back by bus and had a drink at the bar and visited with Maida, Dusan’s wife and then and went and fixed dinner.  Had finished dinner when there was a knock at the door.  Dusan had ordered pizza and invited us to come and join them.  Explained we had just finished dinner but went over and visited with the people that had joined them for pizza.  Of course had to answer questions about life in the United States but it was an enjoyable evening.  As we were saying good evening, Dusan told us he wanted us to come to lunch at his house day after tomorrow and so we agreed.
