Last day in India - Mumbai & Monsoon

Mumbai, India
So we arrived in Mumbai from our 20 hour train journey in 3AC so we had air con carriage - a change from the sleeper class SC that we have used all through India - we wanted to see what it was like. The cost of the journey SC is around 700R for 2 of us but in 3AC its around 1900R so its a massive different in price. Anyway we actually get sheets and pillows in this class and then the guy put out these itchy scratch granny blankets - I looked at them and though yuk not touching them - needless to say it got FREEZING on the train so I slept with the thing tucked up to my chin and never been so glad of a horrid blanket haha

We didnt book a room for arriving in Mumbai which was a bad move as its soooo expensive there compared to everywhere else and we only needed a bed for the night to get our flight early doors - after sever in and out of different taxis we got an overpriced room with a shared bathroom.

Then we had to go out again to tackle the rain - buying a few souvenirs, getting to the post office to post stuff home and to get rid of our india book and get the new china one. Needless to say we were drenched the monsoon was constant and didnt let up.

We went back to the wee food place we went to on our first day in India and had giant dosa's again - nice food to end our trip.

Flight to Singapore 1005am tomorrow then connecting into Hong Kong :-)

3AC train ticket for 2 of us - £25.00
