So we arrive in Hong Kong and headed on the free shuttle bus from the airport to the Chungking Mansions in Kowloon– they are a HUGE maze of apartments with the ground floor being like some back streey dodgy market type thing. Anyway got a room faily quick and it was small but clean and best of all it had air con – after all that time in India finally a room with air con as standard.

We were absolutely shattered as we didn't sleep in Signapore Airport as planned so we headed out for some food and found this wee place that had big soup noodle type dishes for megga cheap and megga tasty so with full bellies we went back to bed to catch up on much needed sleep .

That night we headed out to the Avenue of the Stars, it was at the bottom of the street from our hotel – has the best view of the skyline of Hong Kong, we arrived just as it was getting dark, the view is amazing – I had been here once before but seeing again was still surreal. We watched the light show they have once it gets dark and got the Star Ferry over to Hong Kong Island and walked around there –got some super tasty Vietnamese food then sat in this bar in Soho area just people watching – the girls here are tiny sooo pretty and petitie and there is trampy me in our scruffy travellers gear haha.   

Back home for an early night as we were shattered. Marc has a gig in a bar/club on Sat night so that’s gonna be cool.

The next day we spent about 12 hours wandering Hong Kong the weather was great - went to the bird market where they have loads of birds for sale - we got to hold some but I was lucky enough for it to shit on my foot !! We then headed up the peak tram where you can look out over Hong Kong as it gets dark then we went to Temple Street Night Market got some more yummy noodles and bought my 3rd watch of the journey so far lets see how long it lasts - was basically a market full of tat but was good to have a nosey around. With tired legs we headed back for a well deserved sleep.
