Dim Sum in Changsha

Changsha, Hunan, China
This was a stopover point we had to get our train from here so we stayed one night – the ruler Mao spent a lot of time here so there was a museum we were going to go to but typically its some particular event here and the musum was full that day !! We met a student who had studied in Edinburgh so with the museum closed we hung with him for the afternoon chatting – he had finishd his degree and had a job now but it was interesting to finally be able to have some conversation to find out a bit more about China and the people.

At night went out at night to a nice restaurant for dim sum, waiters basically walk round with carts of food in small bowls and you pick out what you want . Oviously for us that was a bit of a mission – we had some sort of pork bone things that were suspicios of pigs knuckles as we have seen it on the menu a few times – it was tasty all the same – aside from that we did ok and it was a nice change to eat new things.
