Chengdu, Sichuan, China
So we arrived in Chengdu after 30 odd hours of travel and a severe lack of sleep.

Our hard sleeper train was fine - a step up from the indian trains we had sheets and pillows this time and hot water tanks so we could have tea and noodles . We were however sharing a compartment with a kid and his mum n dad. WELL WELL the only having one child policy in China brings other problems !!! SPOLIED ONLY CHILD SYNDROME !! This kid in our compartment was about 8, hyperactive as hell he climbed up and down the bunks a million times, constantly kicked his feet on my bed all night, screamed god knows how many times, threw his sweet wrappers and food around the whole journey and contently demanded attention which he got from his parents - what the forgot to do though was tell him to shut up or behave - utterly amazing I have never seen anything like it. Needless to say we didnt get much sleep !!!

Anyway after a decent night sleep we pottered around then went for our cooking class.

We cooked up 3 meals, Sliced blackbean pork, & Kong Pao Chicken & a noodle dish cause we love noodles haha. It was really good we got to see what kind of spices n stuff were used - we are hitting china supermarkets when we get back home to make these - so easy when you know how.

Cost of cooking class incl eating the food - £10 each
Double room with bathroom - £16.50
