Eek I have fell behind on the blogs so this is just a short it one - the pics say it all really - the hostel tried to make us go on some rubbish bit of the wall saying the section we wanted to go to was too busy but I persisted and I am sooo glad we did as it was brill.  

We headed off really early for the Mutianyu section of the wall - it was just us and another couple from Sweden, the weather was rubbish it was absolutely pouring it down so we headed off for the 2 .5 hour journey hoping it would get better, sure enough by the time we got to the wall it had stopped raining and was actually a bit chilly which was great cause it was absolutely roasting the day before.

There were no chinese tour groups and only a few other tourists so it was fantastic - so glad I didn't listen to the hostel people this tour was great the views were amazing - we wandered along the wall for almost 3 hours before we headed back. Those stairs are mighty steep it was hard work as they day got hotter.
 
We got the cable cars back down (the alternative was a toboggan ride but it was closed due to the rain) and headed back into Beijing - tomorrow we head off on the bullet train to Shanghai :-)
