Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
So we arrive in Saigon our bus left at 8am and was meant to arrive at 6pm but it was after 9pm we got in - what a long day.

We instantly love this place it has a great feel to it - a mix of tourists and locals and a great vibe to it . Everyone else we have been seems to be setup for tourists and its like the locals cannot be bothered with your or are trying to get as much money as possible from you - this is a big change for us after India and China - I guess being in such westernised touristy places is just different from what we are used to.

We quickly find a decent hotel and went out for some food and a wee wander around and a beer then it was early night as we were shattered.

Next day we are off on "Grantys Tour", Marc has our sights organised to see so I get to sit back and be taken round the city hehe. We head off to the Reunification Palace which was the home of the President during the war and it was the site at the end of the war when the North Vietnamese army crashed a tank into its gates - it was also bombed in 1962 and there are 2 of the same tanks and jet here to see.

We went on to see the Notre Cathedral, the market, stopped for some coconuts and generally just wandered around it was a great day - really loved it here the city had a nice feel to it - not to mention thousands of moped - sooo many - we discovered how to cross the manic roads - you have to walk slowly through it !!!!!! Yep slowly, no darting across the road or any sudden movements - if you walk slowly the moped drivers can avoid hitting you !! It works :-)

We had nice dinner n cheap beers great end to a brilliant day :-)
