Bangkok, Thailand
So after reading many horror stories of the Cambodia/Bangkok border crossing I am please to report that it was a breeze one of the few journeys we actually arrived on time if not earlier.

Border Crossing
We decided to book the 6 .30am minivan £8 as opposed to to the 8am bus for £4 as I figured everyone is going to go for the cheaper bus with later start and seeing as everyone has to get stamped out and in at the border I figured the earlier we get there the less likely to be the horrible long queues we had heard about - and it turned out to be right we flew to the border on the nice new road that has been build in 3 hours, 25 mins later we had stamped out of Cambodia walked for 5 mins and stamped into Thailand. A minivan was waiting for us on the other side and we flew down the motorway to Bangkok and promptly got dropped off on the Khao san Road for about 3pm.

THAI VISA: If you come overland into Thailand you only get a 15 day visa stamp - if you fly in you get 30 days so you either have to do a visa run or buy the tourist visa in advance - hotels in Phnom Penh do it in 3 days or you can go to the embassy yourself.

Khao San Road
We wandered for a bit and found a super cheap room - delighted we dumped our bags and headed out for food and to explore . The Khao San road is just FULL of backpackers and stalls with all the usual touristy stuff from t-shirts, hair braiding, music/movies for ur ipod, bags bars you name it - its tourist central.

We were shattered so had a few beers then decided upon a foot massage on the street so you can watch the world go by, Marc wasnt too sure but seeing that everyone else (guys included) were getting it soon we were kicked back relaxed and enjoying our massages, this then turned into a facial for me and a much needed haircut for Marc.

Bugs & Being Hotel Tarts
Absolutely shattered now from our early start we headed back to our room - Marc flopped down on the bed and suddenly got right back up - on the ceiling it was written in pen "this room has bed bugs" eeeeeeeeeeek we had a look at the sheets and flowerly as they were had a few suspicious stains - we then noticed another bed bug scrawl dated 2011 - I went downstairs expecting a fight to get our money back - I told the women that I had checked the bed and seen bugs worrying she didn't seem surprised and asked if she could spray the room for us !!!!!!!!!!!! NO THANKS - she gave us our money and we left .

It was now 11pm we were exhausted and now homeless - wandering down the street we ended up in a much nicer place although much more expensive and our mates we met in China were staying there so we slept like babies that night on THE most comfy pillows ever. Later we bumped into our mates who ended up staying at this other place much cheaper so we booked in there for the next night to save some cash - this turned out to be a bad move too - the room was stinking and the air con setting was either full blast or off and with no blankets we froze or with air con off we sweated half the night and I didnt sleep well at all mostly due to the stupid red bull in the buckets we drank. At 8am I woke Marc and said lets get back to our comfy pillows - dazed and confused we grabbed our bags and checked back in at the fluffly pillow hotel a few doors down haha - total hotel drama but I will never forget those pillows they were the size of a single bed hehe.

Bangkok
We had hooked up with Terry & Emma friends we made in China who are from a few miles from my home town - we headed off to see the temples and markets - both me and Emma were in search of pants!!! There is NOWHERE in Asia to buy knickers its unreal - they are all TINY it was the same in China & Vietnam the ones the do have are super granny pants - eventually we found some they are still a bit too small and ugly but better than nothing - where is primark when you need it eh

We also hooked up with my old friend Adam who lives out there we had a good few beers before he had to head home he had school in the morning ....literally as he is a teacher haha great to see him though - Marc and I had a few more drinks and a Samsung Whisky Bucket that was rotten before finding a kebab n heading to bed.

The next day we lazed around after checking back into fluffy pillow hotel and then went to a huge mall for a spot of shopping, I got nice Paul Mitchell shampoo and Marc got his new Man City top - we then headed to the Patpong market in hope of some cheap goodies but we didnt get nothing - we did however go to the obligatory Ping Pong show haha - I had been before and we had got ripped off big time for cash but we were ok this time - it wasnt busy inside but we got a drink and sure enough we got a show of all sorted being pulled our projected out - then at the end we got handed 2 ping pong bats..... I think you can guess the rest I think the score was Amanda 2 - Marc 1 hahahaha great wee night though.
