Ao Nang, Thailand
We get picked up at 8am in a pickup van and taken to the the boat, we opted for the longtail boat trip and not the speedboat as its cheaper and I have bad memories of getting sea sick in a speak boat lol. We spend the day visitng absolutely stunning islands & caves stopping off for yummy lunch then while everyone else went snorkeling we all had a nap under a tree haha. On the way back the weather was getting windy so they stopped at a different place to snorkel – loving the fact the camera works underwater I couldn't wait to get it- turns out it was fairly shallow and there was lots of coral rock things with sea urchants on them so we had to be careful not to step on them. At one point my mask & snorkel got water in them I looked up realised I had blown a bit away from the boat and the waves were choppy eeeeeeeek panic set in then I scratched my foot on a rock under the water I looked under and there were bit rocks around me eeeeeeeek next min I am pushing at Marc he looks up confused as I said in total fear get me to the boat whilst coughing on the sea water, next in whooosh and I was back at the ladder of the boat hehe just saved so I was.   Flaming stupid sending us in with the rocks if it they werent there it would have been fine – some other girl stood on a sea urchant so not the best snorkel spot !   God knows how I am gonna cope when we do our PADI in Borneo hehe eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek scarey !!

As the wind had picked up it meant a bouncey boat ride back, we had loads of Chinese on the boat who were grabbing for their life jackets to put on, dont think any of them could swim as they didn’t get off the boat unless they had one on –the waves kept coming into the boat – we were all whooping with delight and they were hiding behing their towels – hilarious .

Back safe on dry land that night we went for dinner in our hotel restaurant its was lovely and it looks right out to sea – the sunset that night was amazing and we stuffed our faces of yummy food – was nice to be in a more chilled place for a bit.

We got up the next morning at 7.30 for our Kayaking to the sound of pouring rain – we all decided that we would cancel and go the next day – so seeing as the weather was rubbish it was a nice lazy day – well for Marc he slept all of it whilst I caught up with emails and blogs – its so hard to try and keep this up to date when we are always on the move or out drinking all night !

Marsha had found an Indian restaurant that day who was going to do us a good promotions to eat there so that night we headed out for dinner – I must admint I havent really been fussed for Indian food since we left India we ate that much of it there but this was delicious and once again we stuff our faces.   The other 2 irish girls we were with were heading to Ko Phangan tomorrow so at some point we decided to try and go and swap our kakaying ticket for the ferry ticket and head to Ko Phanang a day early.   Fortunately for us she swapped it no problem so woo hoo we are off to our lovely beach bungalow luxury a day early – our friends we met in China Terry & Emma are there too so there is a good bunch of us partying together.

Ao Nang has been great so nice and chilled and really beautiful I have my mate Adam in Bangkok to thank for recommending it – it was low season there but I am sure its really busy during high season – there are still enough bars and resaurants open though – they all discount stuff too seeing as its quiet time which is great. Definitely what we needed a few nights off
those cheap rotten alcohol buckets for a few nights till we hit the full moon party
