So we had our 15 hours bus journey from Bangkok which stopped at midnight for our free meal which was some weird disgusting food that noone ate - not that anyone really wants to have their dinner at midnight all a bit weird. The bus was ok my seat didnt recline fully but it was miles better than the vietnam buses and it did have a toilet on it - as disgusting as it was.

We arrive in Phuket and jump on the local bus to Patong area which is where I went some years back and its very touristy but the beach is nice and more importantly it sells Magners cider - we have been travelling 4 months now without cider and my goodness I cant wait to taste it again .

We get a great room in the hostel overlooking the sea woo hoo its beach time. We head down the beach and laze about in the sun all afternoon its sooo nice to be by the beach with a beer in hand (with our newly discovered stubby coolers which are soooo great for keeping beer cold).

That night we head out for a nice dinner - we feel like we are on holiday today its great - we end up in this mexican that turned out to be really expensive but super tasty - then its off to the Irish bar for Magners - it was £5 a bottle but honestly it was delicious - I have been forcefully drinking beer all this time...its just not cider though hehe. Needless to say we were sooo full from mexican we had a few pints and a wander around then it was bed we were shattered.

Next day was more beach time and a nice wee sunset with more beers, went out for dinner at night and wandered round - its all Go Go bars with loads of Thai girls/she-men dancing on bars - although there are loads more normal bars opened since I was last here -some people say they hate Phuket but we had a great 2 days here - next stop Phi Phi Island
