Today we got to spend a day with elephants and learn to be a mahoot to learn how to command them and get on and off them.

First we got to feed them and get to see the baby elephant which took great delight in sucking your cheeks haha - then it was time to learn how to command them to get on and off them .  First we grabbed hold of their ears and stepped up on their legs - woo hoo we though that was great. Next thing the guys have us getting on over its head!!!!  You command it to bend down and then you grab hold of the skin behind its neck and basically jump up - you will see from the pics our backsides in the air - to get back down you basically slid back down its trunk haha

Then after learning our commands we head of on it through the jungle, the scenery was amazing as we trekked through it - then it was bath time we cleaned the elephants and jumped around on them then finally it was back to the camp for lunch.

What an amazing day this was by far one of the best things we have done - these elephants must be so well looked after to allow us to have this kind of interaction with them - we have done elephant stuff before but never like this - was utterly amazing,
