Singapore, Singapore
The Journey

So we arrived in Bali after a SERIOUSLY long journey from Borneo…

Left Mabul at 4pm and did 1 hour boat ride

Arrived Semporna and had to wait 1 .5 hours

Got taxi at 1830 to the airport which took 1.5 hours

Waited 3 hours at the airport and got a 2hr 50 flight from Borneo to Kuala Lumpur

We arrived at KL around midnight and had to wait till 0615 for our flight to Singapore

So departed 0615 and arrived in Singapore 0715 am

We were expecting to get into departures to chill out for the day at the lovely Singapore airport with a shower, nice sleeping area with comfy chairs, catch a movie and stuff but cause our flight was a code share with Jetstar we couldn't check in until 3pm !!!!!! We were gutted it meant we were on the shitty side of the airport so we found a corner and lay over 4 wooden chairs it was sooo uncomfy and we slept for a few hours – we were mostly woken by the fact it was utterly FREEZING, we had our sock and zippers on and we were numb. We headed downstairs around 2pm and by this time we were allowed to check in so we headed through to the nice side wooo hoo

We treated ourselves to a nice new external hard drive as our other one had been making clicking noisesm, Marc also had to get another memory card for his PSP as our super cheap one from China had broke !!! After that we went for a long awaited burger king.   Just as we finished we headed outside for Marc to have a smoke, we sat down and got chatting to this older guy who was living in Aus, he was drinking a Bulmers cider which is what sparked up the conversation. Anyway we chatted to him for a bit saying we were travelling and he had just been on a weekend away to Thailand, he got up to go to the bar and came back with 3 bottles of Bulmers for us all – couldn’t believe the generosity of him as they aint cheap – well certainly not for us anyway. We chatted to him for an hour or so and he went off and got us another cider – was too lovely what a really nice guy he was – the ironic thing of it all he was originally from Balham where we lived in London but he had been away for 30 years !!

So bellies full and a couple of ciders down, we were ready for our final flight from Singapore to Bali at 1825 – so after a 3 hour flight we eventually touched down in Bali, jumped in a taxi and headed to our hotel we had already booked. Shattered wasn’t the word for it we were straight to bed zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
