We hit the road again heading for Brisbane, we are staying with friends from home during our time here which is great.

We drove into the town centre to have a look round the Southbank area and it was exactly the same as the Southbank in London, from the bridges to the london eye and the style of buildings – was all a bit weird . We went to the man made beach they have there and wandered along the river & got some food before heading off to Steve's one of Marc’s dads mates from Scotland who moved out here 21 years ago.

On our way out to Steve’s we passed a sign for a Koala sanctualy so we headed off for a look – we had seen the kangaroos but no koalas. We got there and it was free in – bonus and there were 5 gorgeous wee koalas, just wee bundles of fluff sititng in the trees, they look so cute but they are vicious wee things aparently. We were delighted we had now seen kangaroos and koalas haha

We spent the night getting drunk and having a delicous BBQ with Steve and his family, we were spoiled with delicious food and beer and finally sleeping in a proper bed again haha.

We had to pack up the van to take it back, gutted cause we have had an amazing time travelling down the coast – considering we only decided last min to do this its worked out well and been a great experience .

We jumped in a taxi to Dave’s house where we met him after his work. We got the beers in and Dave cooked us a delicious curry for tea – loving our curry just now. We also had a 4L box of gooon (cheap aussy wine) that we didn’t open so we got the tunes on and partied the night away. His flat was amazing with this huge balcony overlooking Brisbane – top night had by all….well maybe not the other flatmates that had to listen to banging techno while they tried to sleep !!!
