Agnes Water, Queensland, Australia
So I woke around 8am and didnt bother trying to wake Marc I jumped in the driving seat and headed off, it takes Marc long enough to wake up so I figured I could get a head start with the driving. We were heading to Agnes Water/Town of 1770 a beautiful coastal town but it was a fair bit south.

Today was going to be a full day of driving - we had checked online at 14 day itineraries driving from Cairns to Brisbane and it sounded great - god knows how the hell they do it though they must be up at 6am every day or something cause we have 16 days with the van and I have been driving pretty much everyday . It has been fine though we are totally loving the sense of freedom and simple things like cooking our own food n stuff for a change has been a good laugh - the outdoor life is great. Anyway thinking of driving this should allow for at least 3 weeks though to have more time in places.

So we were gonna cover a big distance today in order to give us a bit more relaxed time in places. We stopped a few times to get a snack or a pee but every stop point people we met were so lovely and chatty it was great to meet the locals however the weather is still dull and bit rainy :-(

So after much driving and again a race against the dark we finally arrived at our campsite - we needed a shower and I was exhausted so we treated ourselves tonight.

The guy showed us to the parking spot and it was in the trees, practically in the forest then he proceeded to advise us to watch for snakes in the night if going to the loo n stuff EEEEEEEEEEEK . He also said there might be kangaroos hopping by us!! I though he was taking the piss out of us but he said he was serious we might see them in the morning.

Its a skippie
So we cooked our sausages and got some kip - in the morning I peeked out from the van blinds but didnt see any kangaroos then i though I will just have a look out the back window and I nearly shit myself - there it was!!.  "Marc"I shout in my loudest whisper to wake him - he bolts up which is most unusual for a sleeping Marc lol - the two of us peer out the back at this kangaroo just 10-15 feet away from us. We slide open the side door and get out to realise there are actually 4 of them and two have wee joeys in their pouches - I take pics and one of them that was a bit further away actually hops over to where the other 3 were as if to say hang on I am not in the photo and then I get a pic of all 4 of them its hilarious - after about 5 mins they just hopped off into the bush - totally amazing seeing them in the wild

Town of 1770
We the got up and headed to the viewpoint in the town of 1770, it was absolutely stunning the beaches here just go for miles and miles and finally the sun had popped out this morning it was a great walk around the headland - we were to look out for whales and dolphins but there were none there this morning but the view was amazing.
