Today I decided to go horseriding !! Never been on a horse before and the girl we had met the night before at our hostel had fell off so I was rather nervous. Marc however was just having none of it he thinks he would end up with a run-away horse so he took the chance to laze about for the afternoon.

So myself Sun and Connor headed off for our 15 min walk to get to the horses, this is still a task with the altitude you get so out of breath just walking down the street .

Saddle Up
So we get to our horses and mine has a little baby one that's tagging alongside – how cute…for now !!!

We get ourselves on the horses and off we go, it felt scarey at first and worse still the guy in charge was a 14 year old kid who spoke no English.

We trotted along out of town along the small railway track which is still used by trains – I could’t wait to get off it incase my horse didn’t move for the train coming but the young kid didn’t seem to think this was an issue.

We eventually get into the mountains and the scenery was beautiful and our horses were thankfully behaving just trotting along slowly although every now and then if one horse started to pick up pace they all did and at times we were bouncing out of the saddle but we just pulled back on the reigns and the horse stopped thankfully but my poor backside was getting a bruising haha.

The baby eventually came running back and jumped up right beside me I had its feet right up at my face I shit myself – it calmed down and they trotted back thank god.

Two minutes later there is a horse galloping straight for us wih no rider on it and two other horses with Bolivians chasing the horse – I was wetting myself incase my horse took off too but it was all good we returned safe and it was a great day out.
