So we arrived off another 17 hour bus journey from Iguassu ready for our week at the beach, to laze in the sunshine and to spend xmas here. 

 
We decided to book our bus ticket to Rio before we went to the hostel as it was over an hour away on the bus and seeing it was xmas time we wanted to make sure it was booked . Ticket in hand we headed to get the bus to the hostel, at this point Marc's adidas flip flop finally decided to die on him - it was long overdue as they were old and the bottoms were slippy and the other day he stubbed his toe in them tripping up and taking off a chunk of the top of his toe. I think they felt out of place seeing they were in Brazil as everyone wears Havaianas haha - so flip flops in the bin he had to put on his trainers which did nothing for his sore toe :-(

Christmas Dinner
So we were staying right by the beach the hostel was cool we had treated ourselves to a double room and it turned out it was a mini apartment, 2 double rooms with a shared kitchen, fridge, seating area and a balcony it was great. We had the first two nights to ourselves then a couple arrived from Manchester who were really cool and we partied with them.

The hostel had a xmas dinner on xmas eve but it was disgusting we abandoned desert and we all went back to our apartment with a few of us and partied the night away there so that was our christmas !!  

Christmas day we had hoped to find a nice restaurant for dinner but there was nothing we were in a small beach resort so we gave up and seeing as it was raining we vegged all day watching movies and eating chocolate - just not quite selection boxes but it did - we had some super noodles for dinner !!!!!!! It was my first xmas away from home and I wont be making that mistake again haha.

Beach Time 
So considering we had 6 days by the beach the weather was crap it was cloudy most days and we had rain too - just not how it was meant to be - but it was nice to be in the one place for a few days and relax a bit. The place is beautiful though if it was just sunny all the time it would have been perfect
