Cochabamba, Bolivia
God I am so behind on the blogs so this is a quick update.

Basically we decided to head to Cochabamba to do a weeks spanish classes, Sucre is the best place to do this but we knew it involved a 15 hour overnighter on a dirt track road and having done that already once we were not up for it again - so here we were .

It was also a week of some down time we are exhausted from buses and non stop moving all the time. Anyway instead of spending a bit extra cash we found this lady who would charge us £5.50 per hour so we signed up for 20 hours for the week.

It was evident after day 2 that this was not going well she had been teaching for 30 years and clearly her methods were old and certainly not suited to a 20 hour week backpacker needs type of class. She had hand written phrases that were about politics and god knows what else - certainly not related to travelling or where to buy bus tickets - she just made us repeat the same stuff over and over and over - so I faked a sicky and we bolted on day 3. Thankfully we hadnt paid it all upfront - I was totally gutted I tried to say so many times what we wanted to learn but nope there was no changing her she was set in her ways.

We spent the week lazing around and since we had a TV in our room and it was ensuite this was total luxury for us so caught up on some sleep and relaxed .

There is also a huge christ statue here called Christo de la Concordia - its actually only just taller than the one in Rio but there were zero tourists so we went up there for a look but just our luck a storm was starting it was so windy and freezing so took our pics and got ba.8-0ck down.

Cochabamba is a lovely wee town with a nice plaza and very little tourists it was nice to chill out and we found this great place to eat they are called 'almuerzos' which is basically a 3 course meal for a whopping £1.80 - bargain !!

Next stop is La Paz where its party time

Costs
ensuite room with tv and wifi - £18 a night
3 course meal - £1.80
Entry to the Christ - Free (a change from Rio)
