Day 9 Kalocsa

Kalocsa, Bács-Kiskun, Hungary
It's 2:00PM and we have just docked near the city of Kalocsa. We have been pretty lazy thus far and decide to walk the 4 miles into town instead of taking a taxi. As we walk on a nice little trail to town we see huge fields of sunflowers (which are used to make oil), corn and of course peppers to produce their most famous export...Paprika. This town is known for its pepper production and even has a museum and a research center (devoted to producing the perfect pepper). We get to town in about an hour and do a little shopping in the supermarket. There was a beautiful closed cathedral but we decide it is a long way back to the boat so we admire it from a distance. Not a lot else to see in town so we head back after a couple hours.
Tonight is our farewell dinner and tomorrow we land in Budapest.
