Nessebar, Burgas, Bulgaria
Our first stop is Nessebar, a quiet little port in Bulgaria. The seaside town is a mix of old and new. On one side of the harbor we see modern hotels and, on the other, there are remnants of buildings from the Roman period. We walk thru the older section with its quaint shops and rough cobblestone streets. It's a little warm and humid out, so we walk down and dip our feet in the cool Black Sea. We stay in town until 1:00 and then head back to the ship for lunch.
I have to say that I am really impressed with the level of service on the ship (the Quest) thus far . The staff is very accommodating but not overbearing. It's all the little things they do that make the difference. We spend the rest of day reading, napping and laying by the pool.
Both of us have prime rib for dinner and then take in the first show before heading for bed.
Tomorrow we are going on a tour to the Danube River Delta.
