Today I got up early (I know, I know, it's like I'm a whole new person - I hate it) and tried every internet cafe in Thamel - to no avail. Would you believe they were ALL broken? Well, it's true. So instead I swapped the book I swapped with Sara for another, smaller book, had breakfast, and got a Suzuki Maruti to Kathmandu airport. There, I was searched and patted down 3 or 4 times, waited in a hot stuffy room with no directions for over an hour, and decided to just go and get on the plane myself. Now I'm in a hotel that's far too fabulous for me and I've no currency, so I'm once again pretending to be a rich person in disguise. Good thing I had Dubai to prepare me for this, eh?!
