Sooo...

I'm in Hanoi. This is only supposed to be my first day here, and yet, it’s my third. Long story short: we spent all day Thursday driving in a bus to a bamboo village that we reached by boat, and stayed the night there. I was in awful pain all night, and by the next day it was impossible to sit on the bus. We stopped for lunch and met another group going straight to Hanoi (our route was via Ninh Binh and Halong Bay), so I signed off my trip and spent the next eight hours bouncing around on the back seat of the other bus (which everyone had kindly vacated so I could lie on my belly).

I’ve spent my time in Hanoi going to hospitals and clinics and I haven’t seen the same doctor twice, and no one will give me any answers. I meet my group this afternoon though.
