Even though the whole entire hostel was up and about, my roomie refused to get out of bed, so I had to shake, rattle and roll in the dark. I got everything packed up, ate my microwave porridge, fixed the beeping fridge that was annoying the zoologist (I'm also really annoying him at this stage, I think...) and hit off for the last session in school.

There was a happy and almost tearful goodbye . Songs were sung about rocky islands, Jamaica (for some reason), playing in the schoolyard with Leo, and of course, corncrakes. We all praised each other highly for our energy and enthusiasm, bought some books and CDs, and that was it.

If any cranky department monitor is reading this, we put in a lot more hours every other day this week than ANY normal course, it certainly wasn't 9-3. And we had a lot more fun than we would with reflective learning logs SO THERE. REFLECT ON THAT.

I'm down here now by the pier, in the sunshine and the breeze, stealing the wifi from the closed pub, and deciding whether I'll go somewhere to buy a coffee, or just enjoy the outdoors until the ferry comes in.
