Ann and Tyler were very nice to drop me off at the Newark airport to transit into NYC to see Emily. I also needed to complete my Clear verification, so that was convenient. Everything was pretty easy, and it was one simple train into the city, then a bus to cross the island to her apartment. Everything was very close which I wasn’t expecting. Very lucky!
I got to the lobby of her building and thought I was in the wrong spot because it was so fancy! There were doormen and announcements and a bellhop. She told me that I had the right place, and before I knew it, she was downstairs. It was sooo good to see her again finally! Her boyfriend Connor was also there, so I was lucky to see both of them, and they were kind to let me crash their weekend. We just stayed in her apartment and talked, then ordered some ramen and talked some more. It was her birthday weekend so I think she was exhausted from everything and it was nice to just chill out. My short day there came to a close, and I headed out to catch the bus back to Penn Station to get a Peter Pan bus to Boston. FlixBus was twice the price smh. The bus ride was very smooth and enjoyable- I had just missed the rainfall in NYC so it was nice to be cozy and dry in the bus. Most people got off at small towns along the way for the holiday, so it got more and more roomy as the journey went on.
