Boston - Joseph!

Boston, Massachusetts, United States
The bus finally arrived at South Station where I just needed one short train ride to reach Joseph’s apartment. Besides South Station being under construction, it was all pretty easy! I didn’t expect my old self to survive this long in the trip.
Joseph greeted me outside and let me in, and he had everything set up so nicely for a guest. Guess he’s all grown up! I took a shower and went straight to sleep. The follow day was a work day again, so I worked lots and just stepped out for lunch.  I went to Tatte bakery on the corner, which is I guess an Israeli/French fusion which was delicioussss. I got shashuka for the first time- wow!! I was in heaven. Again, much needed happiness during the work day :)
Joseph hung out with mom and dad after the work day. Since I was on mountain time and needed to work longer hours anyways, I just met them later for dinner. We went to a very delicious Italian(?) restaurant a few blocks away. I had a really nice pumpkin ravioli, and everyone else had great dishes as well. I even had half a glass of wine and didn’t get a headache đŸ˜Ž we got crème brûlée and a hot cookie as desserts, and it tuned out the crème brûlée was three, all different flavors (including chocolate). It was sooo good!!
I’m pretty sure we returned very full and ready for bed. I don’t think dad could keep his eyes open for more than two minutes haha.
The next day I worked again, this time I realized how much happier I am working from home, or maybe rather how much happier I am working at work stations. Joseph has a very good setup for work, and it’s nice to feel part of something looking out the window and seeing the street with the shops and people. I need to figure out how to achieve this in SLC. My work space is not light and airy, nor really even functional haha. Overall, I just feel so much less stress working from home. I’m fed up maybe, but way less stressed from the social interaction? I’m not sure what it is, I know I like to socialize, but maybe it’s having to be a presentable human all the time? Haha I’m not sure, but it’s been very nice to work away these past few days :)
We left directly after work for New Hampshire, driving the rental car a few hours north and trying to stop by a liquor store but all of them being closed. Oh well.
