Bath, England, United Kingdom
Monday in Bath and a sunny spring day. Hugh and Karen returned to work and despite my attempts to extend the rental car for another day, I was defeated by bureaucracy and the car was picked up. I thought a day trip to Larkhill and Stonehenge would be a good idea - to show the girls where I lived in the late 60s and started primary school. Could't happen without the rental and wasn't popular; so we spent the day exploring Bath.

We walked into Bath and spent a good two hours at the Roman Baths . What fascinating place. Had a bite to eat at Rosarios Cafe - Italian, again; then browsed the Milson St shops on our way up to the see the Fashion Museum on Bennett St near the Circus. Bath has all the 'high street' brands you would expect to find in the European capitals - it is obviously a tourist mecca.

After the Fashion Museum we walked around the corner to the circle; then split, as I wanted to see sites that the others had seen yesterday. Joined by Karen, Hugh and Kate, we were to all meet up at Spa Station late afternoon; then find somewhere to dine.

Susan and the girls headed back to the shops and caught a cab back to Combe Down. I spent a couple of hours collecting photos of Bath landmarks like Royal Crescent and the Georgian Garden. I arrived at Spa Station early, so had one of their in-house brewed pints at Graze Bar and Chophouse.

When joined by the others we decided on a Kiwi Burger at the Bath GBK, also within Spa Railway complex; then taxi to Combe Down and pack . Tomorrow morning we will be back for our train journey to London.
