Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
15 LEGMEERPLEINSTRAAT has been a great location to explore the city....it's sunny and cold this morning. No rain though...the workman are next door putting in the electrical stuff and have been quite noisy! Old house and thin walls I guess... We had a nice Dutch breakfast of eggs and cheese, toast and OJ and good coffee. Anna has a Senseo coffee machine with coffee packs that look like tea bags but work really well. We are just waiting for the Uber to take us to Schiphol to pick up the car.
We had a great ride with Uber in a nice black Mercedes, picked up our car, a Nissan Pulsar, and off we drove to Balen via Den Bosch where we stopped for a bite to eat at a local pastry/lunch spot by the Central Train Station...it's called Jan de Groot and is famous for the Bossenballen....whipped cream filled round donuts, covered with Chocolate... I had Asparagus soup which was yummy. It's the start of he whit asparagus season so it's everywhere..
The day is sunny but cold. We arrived at Inez and Klaas's around 16:00 just I time for pre dinner drinks and snacks...then asparagus and ham with eggs for dinner. A very nice visit with lots of wine ad a cozy fire.
