Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Today we walked all over Munich...woke up late after Sonia and Joerg had gone to work. We first took the U 6 from Nordfriedhof to Odeonplatz then transferred to the U 4 to the Hauptbahnhof to check out the rental cars. The Europacar agency was upstairs on the mezzanine level of the train station and we were able to rent an economy car for 130 euros for 3 days for pickup tomorrow morning. We then walked NE towards Briennerstrasse where we had lunch at the Cafe Luitpold.I had a yummy quiche that was plated over a wonderful medley of antipasto veggies and thin fried potatoes. We both had Weissbier and really enjoyed the food. We sat in the palm atrium and had a really nice server who went out of her way to talk and recommend things.
After lunch we walked along the curvy wall of the city until Sendingler Tor where we turned to visit the AssamKirch .....very rococo . We then walked back to Dallmeyers and Ludwig Becks where we checked out all the nice clothes. Then back to Dallmeyers where they had very classy deli sections of all kind of delicacies. We went upstairs for Cafe and kuchen.
We also went next door to Dallmeyers to a organic general store where the products were very expensive but also very nice.
Then back home where we had new white Spargel cheese and spec spaghetti and wine and a great visit. met S+J friend Rudiger as well as a local priest,Thomas...a very nice day. Even the weather improved as tha day went by with the temp went up and the clouds decreased. maybe the weather will be nice tomorrow
