Mills River, North Carolina, United States
Another warm day but a little cloudy this morning. We woke up to the aroma of fresh coffee and ate with I and Klaas in the little alcove in the living room. We started with Homemade granola, yogurt and cream, Apple French toast and pumpkin cheesecake in shot glasses. Pretty yummy!! Inez wasn't feeling too well so decided to stay in this morning....Walter and I took a drive on Ray Hill Road except we turned left out of the drive way instead of our usual Right....pretty road with some huge properties, big houses, horses etc. we followed a meandering country road and by chance went to DuPont State Park, went for a walk and saw 2 falls....the second ones were wide and not too high but quite pretty. We picked up I+K around 1:00 and the sun was trying to come through the high clouds. We drove to Asheville and went past Biltmore Village and the Estate....then on to downtown Asheville. It's quite hippy quaint....organic food places, some galleries, some Marley type areas, and a number of Blue Grass bus,era...quite good too!
We had a beer at The Wicked Weed ....supposedly the name comes from a quotation from Shakespeare? It brews its own beers and has a nice outside area.
We left for our 5:00 reso at Curate which is a Spanish Tapas Bar and Resto....very yummy food ....we had yummy potatos, a beet and citrus salad, yummy shrimp, a crudités and cheese platter, lamb swish kabobs, pork tenderloin, and yummy eggplant. Nice wine w
And beer too. Then we came back to Tiffanys and played Rummikub all night. Will be sad to leave tomorrow. We could enjoy a few more days of this luxury and service.
