Savannah, Georgia, United States
Wouter and went to Whole Foods on East Victory St. First thing this morning as we were out of breakfast food....new store and very nice. Much better than the Krogers we went to earlier. After buying some nice bread and strawberries and muffins we came back and had a nice breakfast. We decided to walk the squares again today and take some photos...so we started. Y turning left and going across the street to Troup Square....then down Habersham St to Whitefield Sq....then turned right and followed Taylor to Calhoun Sq then to Monterey Sq where the Jewish Synagogue is located and Chatham Sq. Theses are all about 2 blocks apart so easy to walk and explore.
From Chatham we turned right towards the Savannah Rover and to Pulaski Sq then Orleans Sq. Then the modern Ellis Sq. Where they do oilseed the old square then built an underground parking garage and rebuilt the square with a concrete sitting area and a large fountain. We had a coffee at Goose Feathers Cafe which is on Barnard just before the square. We walked down to the river and walked along and by accident found the elevator back up which led us to Johnson Sq. Then Reynolds and warren. We skipped Washington Sq. and went instead to Columbia, then Oglethorpe, Wright and Chippewa, then Madison, Lafayette and then we were back to Troup. All in all we left at 11:00 and arrived home at just after 2:00.
Inez and Klaas went for a nap and w. And I went back to Whole Foods for supper fixings....we bought salad greens, shredded carrots, cuts, marinated roasted. Engines, some cheese and turkey. Eat and some dessert. We still have 2 bottles of wine plus the scotch to finish so we will enjoy tonight's supper.
Tomorrow we will take I and K to Atlanta airport and go to Athens for 3 days in the mountains and central Georgia area.
