We awoke to an email that our flight had been delayed by an hour. Hmmm, almost like our flight to Budapest!! We had planned on an Uber to go to the airport, but decided on the bus. Our I Amsterdam card was still active, so we used it. Now the luggage wheel that was seized up is now grinding down on the pavement as we move. It is really adding to the effort to drag the luggage!!! I hope it makes it!!!
Wholly Kow, the American Airlines Check-In area was a mess. The kiosks were not working and there must have been over a hundred people in line!!! I got lucky; I caught an attendant who walked me to a special check-in line. It still took a long time, but we got our bags checked. When we left, the check-in line was longer!!!
Our flight was delayed by an hour and a half. Through the long check-in procedure and security, we didn’t have a lot of free time!!! It was a long eight-ish hour flight to Philadelphia!!! It was great to get the long flight out of the way.
Since we were late getting out of Amsterdam, we were bumped to a later connection to Buffalo. When I looked at the details, we did not have seats. I went to customer service to get seats, but was told to wait for the gate attendant. Hmmm, I was worried. In the end, we got seats.
After picking our car up at the Mini dealer, we made our customary stop at Ted’s Hot Dogs!!! Mmmmmm. It is a great way to end the trip!!!
The cat was very unhappy with us for leaving for several days. She had a constant meow and would only walk up to us for a little bit and then leave. It took a long time before she would stay close to us!
It was good to be home and sleep in our own bed!!!
