Day Four - Fun Day at Sea

Caribbean, United States
We slept in a little today. Mom and dad went to get their breakfast and ate it on their deck. We visited a little before we walked up to get ours. Kim wanted to swim after breakfast. The pool was now full. Even the hot tubs were filled. We picked a table in the back and made it our headquarters. The pool was so filled, that everyone had to stake out a small area to stand. Eventually, we could grab a spot on the side of the pool.

Kim had two dollars lying on the table in our room . I decided it was time to use it in the slot machines. On the last cruise, I would always win $15 or $20 each time I played. I used it as my "Drinking Money."  I wanted to do the same here. As I started to play, a waitress came up and asked if I wanted a drink. They had a sign for free drinks as long as you were playing. Turns out, I still had to pay for the drink.

There was a “free” champagne art auction after lunch. I wasn't expecting to get much champagne. We got a table and waited for the champagne to flow. We actually got a respectable glass of champagne! Beth and I actually got a second glass. Gabby was getting mad; she thought she should have her own glass. At 11 years-old, that just wasn’t going to happen. She sat up in her seat and said “I look like I am 26 years-old.”  I agreed with her, but said that the green wristband gave her away.

Mary, Alex, Abria, and Reno went to the miniature golf while we were drinking down the champagne . Reno told Mary he was better at golf. Mary kicked his butt! Reno is trying to challenge her to real golf.

We took the kids to a PG comedy show. The boys liked it so much that they wanted to go to the R rated show at 11:00. Kim thought they would be carded at the door. I suspect that they will just walk in.

Tonight was the first formal night at dinner. The girls were excited about being dressed-up and strutting around the ship. Before dinner, I took the girls to the “Grand Stairway”, which wasn’t very grand, to get their pictures taken. Gabby did look cute with her green arm-band on!

During dinner, the waiters and staff put on a show singing the song Amore. It didn’t sound like Dean Martin, but it was still pretty good.

After dinner, Alex and Reno came with us to the comedy show. They were all nervous about getting through the door. They were even worried about the place we were standing. No one seemed to care. The show was very good except for all of the man-bashing that was going on.
