Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Am now in Monteverde, Costa Rica. Internet connection seems decent enough. Border crossing was a major pain, but our hotel here is great, and within walking distance of a full on American style supermarket. Tomorrow I´ll be doing ziplines through a cloud forest and going through the ecological preserve at night. Will try to provide more updates as time permits. Should have a fair amount of free time tomorrow.

Ziplines today were great . I was lucky to choose the earliest time to go. Weather was perfect, but just as we were leaving at 1, it started to rain. And then pour! Some other members of the group were going at 1, so they probably got drenched. Rain has now stopped. Hope it stays this way for my walk tonight at 5.

Managed to get my laundry done too, which is great. Clean clothes for the next week or so!

Update from home:

Turns out the group doing the later ziplining just got a little wet, not drenched, as the rain was much harder in Monteverde than at the zipline place.

In addition to the ziplines, I walked the bridges through the rain-forest canopy, which was pretty cool, even if you only saw plants and no animals. Later that day, I did the evening nature tour, which I don't recommend. The only creatures we saw were very small, and even those were rather sparse and often tough to see.
