Final stop

Panama city, Panama
The final stop! Casco Viejo today, the Canal tomorrow, and then home! What a trip. I´ll flesh out these entries a bit when I get home and am not paying by the hour at some slow-as-molasses internet cafe.

Update from home:

We crossed the Bridge of the Americas on our way into Panama City. That afternoon, it was off to the old city, Casco Viejo, home to a variety of historic buildings and and a variety of sculptures and statues celebrating Panamanian history.
The next day, we had our group departure dinner at at the restaurant at the Miraflores locks, where giant ships eke through the locks with barely an inch to spare on either side.

And then, the next day, home! Pouring down rain during the cab ride to the airport, which I had managed to avoid during most of the trip.

Where to next? Wait and see!
