It was Melodie's birthday and I'm so glad we were in Alice to help her celebrate.
We went up to Anzac Hill this morning and it was freezing
....I got an ice cream headache as the wind was so old and my eyes wouldn't stop watering.
To thaw out we went into the Todd Mall for coffee and lunch. We then drove out to Emily Gap and Jessie Gap, so quiet and beautiful, with caterpillar rock painting.
As evening approached, we walked down the road to the local Vietnamese Restaurant for a birthday tea with the whole family, as Col's parents, Katherine and Laurence, arrived from Tassie today. What a great night with the birthday cake made by Ruby, an exploding lollie (piñata ) cake.
Back to the block for some fireside warmth before bed.
