Day 3 Millmerran

Saturday, October 01, 2016
Millmerran, Queensland, Australia
We attended the Bush Poets' Breakfast ( an early start but a good decision ) then wandered around for a while. First we watched the Beginners' Camp Oven judging - far superior to most of my efforts! Then we moved on to the Women's Damper Throwing, with a few past discus throwers trying the same technique, mostly without success.

There was whip cracking to Duelling Banjos, very impressive, and of course, many many many camp ovens with demonstrations and workshops to attend, for those interested .

After lunch and a nanny nap we were back for the mini pig races with some of the happiest little piggies I've ever seen.

The results of the AFL grand final came in with Oliver's (and Lee's) team Bulldogs winning for the first time since 1954. What a bitter sweet win for Oliver. Our hearts have been in Melbourne tonight.

The night continued on with lots of music, culminating with Sara Storer.
