Chillagoe, Queensland, Australia
We had another day of touring from Mareeba but this time we headed west through Dimbulah to Chillagoe and Mungana.

At the little coffee shop with a difference in Dimbulah I had a lovely coffee while we both looked at the old Aussie bush stuff and beautiful photography on display .

In Chillagoe we visited the Hub for cave information and decided to skip the guided cave tours as we've done a few of them in the past, and drive on to Mungana to view the aboriginal rock art and explore the Archways (above ground caves).

By 2pm when we drove back towards Chillagoe to the old Copper Smelter site it was 37 degrees and my iPhone decided it was too hot to take any more photos. That's when we decided it was too hot for us to be out of the air conditioning so drove back to Mareeba.

We enjoyed another lovely night with great company at Gillman's Gully. Merril had left in the morning to drive back to Brisbane and Rowan and Sheree, the newlyweds, were in the Maldives on their honeymoon, so it was just Kristie and her friend Niamh still there with Lindsay and Julie. Kristie made Aperol Spritzs for us while Niamh and I made pizzas. Wonderful hosts and good company- what more could you want.
