To Hughenden

Hughenden, Queensland, Australia
After Sunday morning bacon and eggs with Liz and Col, and the kids in their swim shirts with Dan and Matt coming by, we said goodbye to Charters Towers and drove on west towards Hughenden.

We stopped at the gorgeous old Prairie Pub, hoping to get lunch but it was closed . We could have phoned the publican, but decided to leave him in peace and had cheese and crackers instead.

As we drove into Hughenden we received a welcoming wave from the pub before pulling up at Barb and Graeme's house. Graeme was at his beloved bowls and Barb was busy in the kitchen- this friends' and family visiting thing is great as we get fed so well - corned beef with yummy cheese sauce in Townsville, delicious barramundi in Mareeba, cheese platters, Mexican and roasts in Charters, roast lamb in Hughenden.

We went to bed with the air conditioner running all night for the first time in our caravan travels this year.
